Miyagikyo is a Japanese single malt that focuses on softness, creaminess, and ex-sherry cask flavors. It is distilled in Scottish-style copper pot stills and aged in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks at Masakata Taketsuru's second distillery, which opened in the 1960s. It, along with Yoichi, expands Nikka Whisky's portfolio of single malt distilleries.
