Robert McConnell Black Parrot: review
Black Parrot is a broken flake tobacco produced by Kopp (formerly Kohlhase & Kopp) and is a blend of Red and Brown Virginia and Perique from Louisiana.
It is a rather moist tobacco: it can be smoked right away, but we recommend letting it dry out slightly. It is a typical "Virgianian mixture" tobacco because the Virginia varieties predominate over the Perique, which is complementary.
For this reason, we recommend it to Virginia lovers, unless they prefer particularly spicy blends.
The typical sweet notes of Virginia are also matched by roasted aromas, which we assume are given by the tobacco cure.
Interesting how these Virginias differ in no small way from typical American Virginias, turning out less sweetish than the latter.
