Rattray's Hal O' The Wynd: review
Rattray's Hal O' The Wynd is the ideal blend for Virginia lovers seeking an “aromatic support” for the latter's typical sweetish notes.
Crucial in this regard is the Perique, which alternates well with the Virginia aromas with its spicy notes. More thinned out, however, is the perception of Kentucky Fire Cured, unlike other blends where it is more preponderant.
Nevertheless, it plays a very important role, because it amalgamates the two previous tobaccos, giving body and structure to a very good aromatic base in itself.
I tend to smoke this tobacco when I want to alternate with English Mixtures, but in general I recommend it to all admirers of Virginia and Perique in purity.
