Robert McConnell is a guarantee in the world of pipe tobaccos: it has been carrying on a history of excellence for more than five generations.
This tobacco, like many others from McConnell, repurposes the Dunhill blend of the same name, keeping the same composition.
It is composed of excellent Virginias, Orientals and Burleys from Africa.
Unlike other excellent Virginias we have already reviewed, such as HH Pure Virginia and Golden Glow, it is enriched with a hint of Orientals that makes it more complete and complex aromatically.
The Orientals/Burley pairing is noticeable throughout the entire smoke, unlike many other blends that, while containing them, tend to lose them as the smoke progresses.
Low moisture, ease of combustion and modest nicotine load make it an “all-day” tobacco.
As for the cut, it is a Ready Rubbed, so it has a consistency equivalent to Broken Flake.
