Samuel Gawith Golden Glow: review

While I love English Mixtures, I consider Golden Glow my safe haven. The “first encounter” with this tobacco was astounding.

A pure Virginia that already in raw form stands out in personality, with its aroma of hay and cut grass. Aromatic notes present in many Virginias, but which are far more pronounced here.

The presence of Bright Virginia is clearly visible naked eye, with its yellow to light orange colors.

Being a Broken Flake, you will be able to handle the cut with ease.

Another positive note is the moisture content: unlike the rest of the Gawiths, it comes out drier, which I personally prefer.

The smoke is fantastic from start to finish: if the premise “raw” is already positive, it is even more exhilarating in smoke.

There are aromas of yeast, fresh bread, but also sweet, always pleasant and never cloying (unlike other Virginias).

It is a light tobacco, with low nicotine strength, but with a full and satisfying smoke. In fact, it has a truly remarkable post-smoke persistence

I consider it one of the best Virginians I have ever smoked, so I recommend it to everyone, both experts and novices.
