Amphora Original is a blend with a predominant Kentucky, enhanced by the aromas of Virginia, Burley and Orientals. It is a very well-rounded, versatile blend with a subtle flavor and medium-light body.
Do not expect an intense smoke, but mild and fresh on the palate. It is really interesting how this blend brings all these tobaccos together so harmoniously, without even creating any excess condensation.
It is a tobacco that also lends itself very well to blending with very full-bodied blends, such as Lubinski Maxima or Rattray's Black Mallory. Ideally, it should be blended no more than 1/3 the size of the other blend.
All in all, Amphora Original is an excellent tobacco for beginning pipe smoking because it is undemanding, naturally flavored, lightly tanned, and, as a result, leaves the tobacco pipe fairly clean.
