Bruno Nuttens is a young French pipemaker of Belgian origin.

He began his career in 2012 when he decided to buy a lot of used tobacco pipes which he began to restore.

This initial phase of his career led him to the restoration of over 7 thousand models, which led him to develop a careful eye and a skilled hand in workmanship.

After this first phase of his career as a restorer he decided to start his own production, feeling the desire to dedicate himself to his own creations and thus dedicating himself, starting from 2018, to full-time production.

Explore the selection of Muttens tobacco pipes and discover the influences of the French school

The Nuttens tobacco pipes were born above all from Bruno's experience in contact with the French school of craftsmanship. Thanks to the help of expert craftsmen from St. Claude, the home of tobacco pipes, he began to make tobacco pipes completely by hand, adopting a very fine and elegant style. In fact, during this period he came into contact with numerous masters of pipe creation, first of all Morel.

It was thanks to these experiences that his style went on to define the distinctive features of his tobacco pipes that developed.

Muttens' last training period: the Danish school

Finally, Bruno Muttens' career developed further thanks to what he learned during his Danish production period, during which he came into contact with Tom Eltang and further developed his own personal style. Its production is divided into handmade tobacco pipes in Italian briar (Hand Made series) and tobacco pipes made from a stock of pre-drilled blanks coming from an old pipe factory in St. Claude. These sketches date back up to 50 years ago, offering a super seasoned briar.
