The secret of Macallan's quality lies in the barrels whose production they personally control, defining stringent criteria for each phase of their processing. Starting from the production of the staves of the future barrels which will be produced in Northern Spain. From here they are dried for 18 months and then sent to Scotland to be assembled. In fact, the secret of the whiskey's flavor lies precisely in the oak barrels which are produced and meticulously checked by Macallan himself.
From here we proceed to the distillation of the Macallan through a system of stills and fermenters capable of making the best of the products of the Speyside area, from where Macallan has produced its spirits for the last 200 years.
